The all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S is inching closer to production and today, and we’re treated to our first look at its cabin design and features. The aesthetics clearly aim to compete with SUVs from other luxury-centric brands. The photos below even unveil some of the unique details that set the Wagoneer S apart from its other Jeep family members. For those out of the loop, the Wagoneer S is the brand’s first dedicated global electric vehicle and it’s poised to make its market debut later this year. While there will be several variants available, at the top end, the flagship model will make up to 600 hp and be capable of rocketing from 0-96 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Consider this a major shot over the bough of Range Rover, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.

As such, it’s heavily focused on luxury and craftsmanship. Jeep touts its “seamless” integration of technology with “meticulously crafted artisan details.” The dash integrates up to four different screens in a similar fashion to the way that the current Grand Wagoneer does. In fact, it appears that there isn’t a single physical button on the dash at all. If that’s accurate then it’ll be the first time that Jeep has gone that route, as even the Grand Wagoneer retains a couple of physical buttons. An ambient lighting strip sits just below it as a new unique detail. The center console is different too with controls shifted to the left and cupholders to the right. The console itself features a fishnet pattern surrounding what appears to be piano-black trim.

 

Jeep says that occupants will enjoy a standard dual-pane panoramic sunroof and have the option of adding a segment-exclusive 19-speaker McIntosh sound system. Having tested it in the Grand Wagoneer, we can confirm that it’s one of the very best audio systems on the market. Sales of the Wagoneer S are scheduled to commence later this fall. It will mark the first Jeep product to utilize Stellantis’ STLA Large BEV-Native platform, representing a significant step in the brand’s global electric vehicle portfolio. The same architecture will underpin the next-generation Dodge Charger too , though aside from the pure EV version, it’s rumored to eventually offer internal combustion power as well.
