Large, luxury SUVs have become a massive status symbol over the past 10 years and of the SUVs made in the U.S., few are more dramatic than the Cadillac Escalade-V. Larte Design has utilized a top-of-the-line Escalade-V as the foundation for its latest project, transforming it into a vehicle that would likely attract even more attention than a flagship Range Rover.
Aggression is the name of the game for
Larte’s carbon fiber bodykit. This is immediately apparent when looking at
their Escalade-V from the front where you’ll notice a carbon fiber grille, a
large Larte badge, new LED daytime running lights, and a pronounced carbon
fiber splitter.
A new carbon fiber hood has also been
crafted for the Cadillac while changes visible down the sides include carbon
wheel arch extensions and a set of massive 24-inch forged wheels. New wing
mirrors, a carbon diffuser, and a roof spoiler round up the revisions. Larte
says it was encouraged by Escalade-V owners, who complained about the super SUV
not having the visual punch they’d expect of a vehicle with a 6.2-liter
supercharged V8 delivering 682 hp.
Customers can either order the kit
entirely in carbon fiber or made from basalt fiber and painted either glossy
black or the same color as the rest of the car. The carbon kit isn’t cheap,
starting at approximately € 37,500 (US$ 40,600), about the same as a nice hot
hatch. Escalade owners can save approximately 30% by opting for the
basalt-fiber bodykit. Throw in a set of 24-inch wheels like the vehicle
pictured and that’ll add € 10,460 (US$ 11,300) to the price tag.
