The Zeekr 009 has been launched in Thailand, several months after the smaller X went on sale back in July this year – both electric vehicles (EVs) were made available for pre-orders since March. Thailand is getting the 009 in a sole variant called the Flagship AWD which retails for 3.099 million baht. For context, the Zeekr MPV is cheaper when compared to its target rival, the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire that ranges from 4.129 million to 4.499 million baht.
The Flagship AWD gets dual electric motors
that provide a total system output of 612 PS and 693 Nm of
torque. Powering the motors is a 116-kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery
that enables a range of up to 582 km following the WLTP standard, while the
0-100 km/h time and top speed are 4.5 seconds and 230 km/h respectively.
As for charging, the 009 supports DC fast
charging at 310 kW, or 5C charging as the company advertises. The “C” indicates
how many times a battery can be charged in one hour, and when plugged into an
appropriate DC fast charger, a 10-80% state of charge is reached in just 11.5
minutes. This setup is identical to what’s offered in Hong Kong, one of the
first markets to get the 009 in right-hand drive guise. Standard equipment for
the Thailand-spec 009 includes air suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels, a six-seat
layout (2+2+2) with powered executive lounge seats in the second row, a
10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment
system, a 17-inch rear passenger display, a head-up display, a Yamaha surround
sound system, power-sliding doors, two-section panoramic glass roof, a powered
tailgate and a suite of advance driver assistance systems.
In terms of colours, there are three
offered for the 009 in Thailand, starting with Crystal White that is paired
with a black interior, Electric Blue with a black or grey/white interior as
well as Phantom Black with a black or blue/white interior. The warranty is five
years or 150,000 km for the vehicle, while the motor and battery are covered
for eight years or 180,000 km.
