The Chevrolet Blazer EV had a rough launch, but things are back on track and the company is adding new variants for 2025. The good news doesn’t end there as some versions have improved range as well as increased horsepower and torque. The big news is the addition of a range-topping SS, which will be available in the first quarter of next year for US$ 61,995. While it’s behind schedule, the wait appears to be worth it as the output of the dual-motor all-wheel drive system has climbed from 557 hp and 878 Nm of torque to 595 hp and 874 Nm of torque. This will enable the electric crossover to rocket from 0-96 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

At the other end of the spectrum, there’s a new entry-level model with front-wheel drive. It costs US$ 45,995 and features a motor developing 220 hp and 329 Nm of torque. We’ll learn more closer to launch, but Chevrolet said the base model will be available to order soon. The Blazer EV AWD returns and gets a US$ 1,200 price cut to begin at US$ 48,995. Furthermore, the dual-motor all-wheel drive system now produces 300 hp and 481 Nm of torque, which is an increase of 12 hp and 30 Nm. On top of that, the range increases from 449 km to 455 km.

Last but not least, the rear-wheel drive variant jumps US$ 1,395 to start at US$ 56,990. That’s a sizable jump, but the crossover now develops 365 hp and 440 Nm of torque, which is 25 hp more than last year’s model. The range also climbs by 16 km to 538 km overall.

The rear- and all-wheel drive variants are currently available to order and the models are eligible for a federal tax credit of up to US$ 7,500. Besides the aforementioned tweaks, there are a handful of other changes including new Midnight and Sport packages on the LT trim. The Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system comes standard on the SS, while it’s optional on the LT and RS AWD. Customers will also find a new two-tone roof option on the LT and RS trims.
