Rolls-Royce Wraith Carbon Fiber
Rolls-Royce
has introduced another special edition of the Wraith and this one is simply
called “Carbon Fiber.”
The reveal was actually made on Facebook
by the company’s dealership in Geneva from where we found out only 25 units are
planned for production. The car doesn’t actually have carbon fiber panels as it
comes with the standard steel + aluminum body, so it continues to tip the
scales at 2,440 kg in US specification. What sets this model apart
is the glossy black body combined with a matte black hood and a shiny front
grille, while the two-tone alloys complete the look.
More changes have occurred inside the
cabin where the wood trim has been replaced by plenty of carbon fiber that
blends nicely with the black leather upholstery. It also has some red accents
here and there and the gorgeous Starlight headliner which can take anywhere
between 9 to 17 hours to complete.
As a final touch, the side sills are
adorned with a special aluminum plaque denoting we are dealing with a
limited-run Wraith featuring several tweaks both inside and out.
There aren’t any mechanical changes, so
it continues to feature a V-12 6.6-liter engine with 624 hp and 800 Nm. It’s enough to enable the large coupe hit 96 km/h from
a standstill in 4.4 seconds before topping out at an electronically-restricted 250 km/h.
