Trefecta DRT
Here is a new exclusive electric bicycle
project coming from Holland called Trefecta, the adventure of design and avantgarde enthusiasts who
dreamed about an outsized e-bike.
Launched in May 2014 and presented at
the Intermot Show in Cologne, we finally get more informations (and a video) on
this super e-bike coming from Holland, Eindhoven specifically with a
partnership with Baar in Switzerland for the development.
This super e-bike Trefecta has a 4kW
motor allowing it to reach a 70 km/h top speed and a 55 km/h cruise speed, the
removable lithium-ion battery allows up to 100 km range.
With this powerful engine, the Trefecta
can climb hills up to 12% with a range of 40 km accrding to its designer thanks
to 14 speeds available.
About the weight, no precise figure but
with ann aluminum frame and carbon wheels it should remain among the lowest in
the market in its performance range.
Despite the cross
tires, you will not really want to go to offroad with the e-bike that will cost
more than € 20,000 and should therefore be seen more often on the yachts of
Southern France than on the Col de l'Esterel.
