The ultramini battery car Letin Mango (a.k.a. Mengo) has been co-designed with Pininfarina, but somehow managed to stay highly affordable at just 39,800–59,800 Yuan.

The manufacturer claims this makes it a viable option for individuals earning below 1,000 Yuan (US$ 150) per month. Despite being just 3,622 mm long, 1,607 mm wide and 1,525 mm tall with 2,442 mm between the axles, the car accommodates five people. A single electric motor churns out 48 PS and 125 Nm of torque. The speed never exceeds 100 km/h.

Buyers can select from Mengo, Mengo Pro and Mengo Max trims. All three come equipped with LiFePo4 traction batteries, but the cheapest one gets 11.5 kWh, the middle spec 17.3 kWh, and the top spec 29.4 kWh of power storage. This translates into 130, 185 and 300 kilometers of range on a charge, respectively.

The interior is rather minimalistic with two displays and a colorful horizontal trim strip on the dashboard. Options include 5G connectivity, sat-nav, AC, and driver assists. The company believes it is targeting around 600 million people with the Letin Mango, but expects some examples to be exported into Brazil, Cambodia, Panama, Peru and South Korea.
