Once it became clear that the Auto China show won’t happen in Beijing this spring due to ongoing Covid-19 issues, the attention of automakers turned to the show in the Guangdong Province this weekend. Meet the Rising R7, an all-electric coupe-like crossover SUV set to ship in China soon. The vehicle is 4.9 meters long with 2.95 meters of wheelbase, which makes it slightly more compact than the Tesla Model X. The drag ratio amounts to 0.238.

Customers will be able to choose between single-motor/RWD and dual-motor/AWD specs, the former rated at 340 PS and the latter at 544 PS. The maximum driving range is given as 600 km, but there are no specifics or battery capacity numbers. The one thing Rising mentions is that you can either go with a regular static battery or opt for a removable unit suitable for fast-swapping at some charging stations.

The car comes with three dashboard displays whose diagonals sum up to 43 inches. The front passenger gets their own infotainment display to enjoy, and the driver gets a heads-up display projecting a giant 70-inch image.

Active cruise control on board can be specced with up to 33 sensors, depending on how much you are willing to pay for the feature. You can even request a LiDAR mounted in a separate unit above the windshield to take advantage of advanced electronic aids.

All pricing details will be announced soon.
