James Glickenhaus, CEO of Sсuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, said his company was working on a street-legal supercar based on the 007 LMH racer. According to CarBuzz, the vehicle was envisioned with a thousand horsepower and a three-seat cabin. Representatives of SCG explained that the interior setup would be similar to that of the McLaren F1: the driver’s seat in the middle and two passenger seats at the sides.
No details were given regarding the
drivetrain, but electrification has not been on the agenda for SCG so far, so
we would expect a normal V8. It is unknown when the company might unveil the
007 model for the road. According to Glickenhaus, the development has been
successful so far and the first production example has already been sold. Only
25 units will be made in total, each priced close to US$ 2.5 million.
The American niche carmaker first mentioned
the intention to produce a street-worthy racecar in 2019. Back then, the
company considered a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 for the engine.
