New Renault Duster AMT
The new Renault Duster AMT (diesel) has
been launched in India at an introductory price of INR 11.67 lakhs for RXL
variant and INR 12.87 lakhs for the top-end RXZ variant. The new Duster range
which comprises petrol and diesel engines has a starting price of INR 8.47
lakhs .
The facelifted Duster which is claimed
to incorporate 32 styling and mechanical changes had been showcased at the 2016
Auto Expo last month. The crossover features revised grille, bumpers,
headlamps, taillights, 16-inch alloy wheels with gunmetal finish, a new set of
roof rails, ORVMs with integrated blinkers and a new Cayenne Orange exterior
color options.
Inside, the updates come in the form of
new color theme, improved seat fabrics and automatic climate control system.
The fully-loaded RXZ variants are equipped with a touchscreen infotainment
system with navigation and reverse parking camera, dual air-bags, ABS with EBD,
ESP, Hill Start Assist and so on.
India’s first 6-speed Easy-R AMT is
available exclusively with the 110 PS version of the familiar 1.5-litre K9k
diesel engine. The ratios are identical to the 6-speed manual transmission and
hence there is no compromise in the ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 19.6 km/l.
This diesel unit is also available in a 85 PS avatar, mated to a 5-speed manual
transmission.
Like its predecessor, the new Renault
Duster is also available with a 104 PS 1.6-litre petrol motor which is paired
with a 5-MT. The range-topping 110 PS diesel AWD manual variant has been
retained too.
