Porsche 911 GT1 Evo
Porsche 911 GT1 Evo, a Porsche flagship supercar of the '90s,
developed for racing and registered for use of public roads, is in the search
of a new home.
Believed to be the only ex-race car with
road registration in existence, chassis number GT1 993-117 will hit the auction
block at the RMSothebys event in Monaco, on May 14, where the winning bidder is
expected to pay between € 2.7 and € 3 million (US$ 2.98-3.31 million)
before being able to take the new ride home.
The car, which is one of only 14 held in
public hands, doesn’t come without a pedigree, as it nabbed the gold medal in
13 races out of 31 throughout its lifetime, and it also managed to win the
Canadian GT Championship three times, between 1999 and 2001. Its list of events
also include the Daytona 24 Hour race.
