Volvo XC90 Excellence
Referred to as "the most luxurious
car in Volvo Cars' 89 year history", Volvo's exclusive XC90 Excellence
will be offered in the United States starting bthis summer.
It features individual and adjustable
rear seats with specially designed headrests and massage function, cup holder
with heating and cooling options, two folding tables and a refrigerator.
High quality upholstery, extended
leather-covered surfacing, hand-crafted crystal glass, additional sound
insulation and Boers & Wilkins premium sound system are offered on top of
the regular XC90.
The Excellence is powered by the 400 hp
T8 Twin Engine petrol plug-in hybrid, which benefits from three driving modes:
Pure, Hybrid and Power. In standard form, the SUV needs 5.6 seconds to reach 100
km/h and it has a full electric range of up to 42 km.
Besides introducing the XC90 Excellence
over the next few months, Volvo will also offer the semi-autonomous drive
technology Pilot Assist II at no extra cost on the S90 and V90, which supports
drivers at speeds up to 129 km/h in highway conditions.
Standard safety equipment now includes
Run-off road mitigation, with auto-steer, to keep drivers on the road. The 90
Series also comes with City Safety, collision avoidance system and Large Animal
Detection, joined by Spotify and Park and Pay from MY2017.
Finally, there's the Volvo On Call
smartphone app, which allows remote access and control over a wide range of
in-car features, and the CleanZone technology, which ensures that outside air
is filtered before entering the cabin, removing harmful
