Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4² Bright Blue by
Mansory
Excluding the other-worldly 6x6, the
Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4² is about as ludicrous as a stock off-roader can get.
Combining the brutish body of the G-Class with a host of beefed up components
and a towering suspension system, the car truly is unlike any other.
Not intimidated by its out-of-the-box
insanity, tuning specialists Mansory have unveiled their tuning kit for the
SUV, making it look even brawnier and threatening.
For starters, Mansory has adorned the
4x4² with a bespoke front end including carbon fiber headlight surrounds, a
carbon grille and a carbon hood with a protruding air intake. Additionally, a
set of new LED daytime running lights on either side of the aluminum skid plate
have been added.
The carbon fiber parts continue across
the sides with new wheel arches, door trim and door handles and a set of
electric side steps. The rear is then completed with carbon taillight bezels
and surprise surprise, carbon badging.
By comparison, the interior remains
fairly subdued and only includes some reupholstered seats and some extra carbon
fiber and aluminum trim.
Complementing the outrageous new look is
a new ECU that lifts power from the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 to 479 hp and 710
Nm up some 63 hp and 100 Nm from stock.
