Ford Kuga ST
With design details inspired by Ford
Performance models, the Kuga ST-Line will go on sale in the United Kingdom
later this year.
Priced from £ 25,845, which equals to US$ 34,173 on the other side of the Atlantic, the mid-size SUV sets itself apart
from the standard models with high-gloss Ebony Black finished upper grille and
lower grille with honeycomb design, and matching sports mesh look on the fog
lamp bezels.
It also has front skid plate, side
skirts, door handles, side mirror caps, door cladding, roof spoiler and wheel
arches in body color, black roof rails, high-gloss Ebony Black rear skid plate,
tinted lighting units on both ends, privacy glass, ST-Line exterior badging on
the front fenders, black beltline beneath the windows and a choice of 18-inch
high-gloss black alloy wheels with bright machined surface or 19-inch ones in
Ebony Black.
Inside, the unique sport seat design,
wrapped in partial leather, with contrast stitching for the seats, gear lever
gaiter and steering wheel, along with black headliner and two-layer
metallic-effect Deep Space paint on the center console tell users that this
isn’t the average Kuga.
Moreover, the Ford Kuga ST-Line benefits
from chassis enhancements including a 10 mm lower ride height and thicker anti-roll
bars, stiffer suspension and the brand's Electronic Power Assisted Steering
with revised calibration.
The engine lineup will comprise all
units currently available on the rest of the Kuga family, including the 120 PS 1.5-liter TDCi, 120 PS 2.0-liter TDCi, 150 PS 2.0-liter TDCi with FWD or AWD and 180 PS 2.0-liter TDCi with AWD. The
petrol range includes the 120 PS and 150 PS 1.5-liter
EcoBoost with FWD and a 182 PS version that comes with AWD solely.
Joining the 2017 Kuga, whose prices kick
off from £ 20,845 (US$ 27,562), and Ford Kuga ST-Line, will be the Vignale version,
which was revealed in pearlescent-metallic Vignale Milano Grigio exterior
color, with Cashmere leather trim.
