ABT AS
The AS4 tune by
ABT will boost power & torque figures on both diesel and petrol Audi A4s.
That
reference was easy to make thanks to the car's sinister appearance, but that
doesn't mean the AS4 is more bark than bite. Not by a long mile, as it is
available with two power upgrades.
The first bumps the
output of the 3.0-liter turbo diesel unit from 272 PS to 325 PS, as torque also goes up from 600 to 680 Nm. Those
who'd rather drive the 2.0-liter TFSI petrol A4 will probably be at least just
as impressed with its newfound 330 PS and 440 Nm of
torque.
In terms of looks, aside
from the previously mentioned dark theme you've got an ABT aerodynamics
package, which includes a front skirt add-on, air inlet grilles, front grille
add-on, fender inserts and a rear diffuser rocking a four-pipe exhaust.
The alloys come in two
separate sizes (19" & 20"), with three separate sporty designs -
the ones here have a sort of turbine-like appearance.
