MG has officially revealed its refreshed B-Segment model.
Here are the facelifted MG3’s live images from China, courtesy autohome.com.cn.
The 2017 MG3 features extensive design changes for a
bolder look inspired by the MG ZS SUV. At the front, the larger radiator grille
is connected to the more aggressive headlamps, and the restyled lower grille is
flanked by large faux air vents. Both bumpers are remodelled, and at the rear,
another change is the repositioned tailgate handle as seen in the second image.
The tail lamps have received minor changes for enhanced visibility.
The 2017 MG3 is 4,055 mm long, 1,729 mm wide and
1,521 mm tall. The facelifted model is 37 mm longer, 1 mm wider and 4 mm
taller. There are two engine choices: 1.3-litre petrol and 1.5-litre petrol.
The 1.3-litre unit develops 102 PS and 121 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre unit
produces 117 PS and 150 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 5-speed
manual and 4-speed automatic.
The interior of 2017 MG3 has a more contemporary
design, with everything, from the steering wheel to the dashboard, centre
console, air vents, temperature controls and the gearshift lever – either
completely new or revised for aesthetic or functionality. LED DRLs, electric
sunroof, leather steering wheel, cruise control and 8-inch touchscreen
infotainment system with satellite navigation are some of the key features of
the new MG3.
The 2017 MG3 will be launched at the 2017 Chengdu
Auto Show on August 25.
