It took Nissan a few months to take some of the
gadgets of their X-Trail 4Dogs Concept and launch them under the 'Paw Pack'. Priced at £ 599 (US$ 775) in the United
Kingdom, the optional accessory kit fits all X-Trail models made from 2014
onward, and comprises of six components meant to transform SUV's boot space
into a dog-friendly environment.
These are the dog guard boot separator, a ramp that
can be used by smaller or less mobile four-legged friends to use for getting in
an out easier, boot liner to protect the upholstery from muddy paws, non-spill
water bowl, washable dog bed, and tidy used to store leads, treats, and waste
bags.
Nissan has dropped some of the more expensive
gadgets from the X-Trail 4Dogs, such as the 10-inch LCD screen that allows pets
to see their owners, the special camera mounted in the boot that displays
images on the infotainment system, pullout shower and dryer, and the system
that supplies warm air into the boot, among others.
The new Paw Pack is already available to order at
Nissan retailers.
