Mercedes-Benz India has launched a new C Class
‘Edition C’ for sale in India. Available in all three variants: C 200, C 220 d
& C 250 d, prices for the ‘Edition C’ range from INR 42.54 Lakhs – INR
46.87 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
Exclusive to the C Class Edition C is the Hyacinth
red exterior colour, front spoiler lip and rear spoiler painted in gloss black,
gloss black ORVM caps, Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star logo projector in
ORVMs, 17-inch five-twin spoke alloy wheels painted in high-gloss black and
‘Edition C’ exterior badges. The Edition C’s cabin is adorned with open-pore
black ash wood trim, ARTICO dashboard (C 250 d) stainless steel pedals with
rubber studs and Garmin Map Pilot SD card navigation system.
This is in addition to equipment available, such as
a free-standing 8-inch infotainment display with Mercedes’ COMAND software,
three-colour ambient lighting, panoramic roof, keyless entry with push-button
start/stop, and a set of LED headlamps and taillamps.
The petrol C 200 is powered by a 2.0L 4-cyl turbo
petrol that outputs 184 hp and 300 Nm of peak torque. Both the C 220 d and C
250 d share the 2.2L 4-cyl turbodiesel, although the former produces 170 hp and
400 Nm and the slightly more powerful C 250 d delivers 204 hp and 500 Nm of
peak torque. All variants are paired with a 9G-TRONIC gearbox as standard.
