Tata Motors will launch something new in the Tata Hexa line for this festive season. Team-BHP has posted spy shots of what looks like a limited-edition Tata Hexa.

The special edition model features brown body paint and could have some distinctive cosmetic changes inside too. The regular Hexa is available in Arizona Blue, Tungsten Silver, Pearl White, Platinum Silver and Sky Grey colours.

The front fog lamps, LED DRLs, roof rails and 19-inch alloy wheels indicate that the limited edition model is based on the Hexa XT or the Hexa XTA. The model will have top-of-the-line equipment, including automatic headlamps, power folding ORVMs, automatic climate control, ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, JBL sound system including 5 speakers, 4 tweeters and 1 subwoofer, cruise control, reverse parking sensors and camera and six airbags. The XT and XTA grades are available in 6- and 7-seat versions.

Under the hood, the limited-edition Tata Hexa should continue with the 2.2-litre VARICOR 400 diesel engine. The turbocharged four-cylinder mill produces 156 PS at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque from 1,700-2,700 Nm of torque. In the standard Hexa with this engine, transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. A 4×4 system is available only in the manual transmission equipped model.

The Tata Hexa’s prices in the XT and XTA grades range from INR 15,94,788-17,07,805 (ex-showroom Delhi). The limited-edition Tata Hexa’s pricing could fall in the INR 16-18 lakh (ex-showroom) bracket, challenging variants of the Jeep Compass and the Mahindra XUV500.
