Mitsubishi will unveil a new version of the Triton
pickup at the Thai Motor Expo scheduled from 30 November to 10 December 2017. Headlight
Magazine has shared images revealing the highlights of the Mitsubishi Triton
Athlete.
Cosmetic enhancements include a blacked-out
honeycomb grille, black cladding on the bumpers and wheel arches, and blacked
out 17-inch alloy wheels, side steps, ORVMs, and door handles. The Mitsubishi
Triton Athlete features black and orange decals all around.
Inside, the seat upholstery is black with orange
inlays to match the body graphics. The Seat, steering wheel, gear knob, door
panel, storage box, and center console get orange stitching. There is ‘Athlete’
lettering on the seat back and floor mats. Feature additions include an 8-way
electrically adjustable driver’s seat and a touchscreen AVN with Apple CarPlay
and Android Auto support.
The Mitsubishi Triton Athlete will be powered by a 2.4
L MIVEC engine capable of producing 181 hp and 430 Nm. There will be 6-speed
manual and 5-speed automatic transmission choices on offer. Mitsubishi will
offer the special edition Triton in three variants – Double Cab 2.4 MIVEC Plus
MT, Double Cab 2.4 MIVEC Plus AT, and Double Cab 2.4 MIVEC 4×4 AT.
