Rajputana Customs from Jaipur has transformed the
Royal Enfield Classic 500 into a custom motorcycle called the Matilda.
The Matilda is a retro-modern Bobber iteration of
the Royal Enfield Classic 500. The changes are so exhaustive that the bike
hardly has traces of the original model’s design. They have altered the frame
for a hardtail look, and features a custom seat with springs. The fuel tank is
a custom peanut unit with a unique paint work. The fenders and the toolbox are
custom as well. The straight handlebars get custom clamps, and are mounted on a
WP inverted front fork. The chrome bar-end mirror adds a nice classic touch to
the bike.
The custom house has finished the engine in black,
with heat wrap on the header pipe. The fuel injector features a conical air
filter. The stock 499 cc single cylinder mill is capable of generating 27.2 bhp
of power at 5,250 rpm; and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The gearbox is a
5-speed unit.
The motorcycle features custom spoke wheels with
black rims shod with beefier tyres. The front disc brake comes with a radial
calliper for adequate stopping power. The rear gets a drum unit. Rajputana
Customs took three months for this build, and costs INR 5.5 lakhs, excluding
the donor motorcycle.
