In case you haven’t checked out the all-new Peugeot 508 yet, make sure to do that, because the French automaker has really pulled out all the stops with this latest generation of their mid-size sedan.

The new model won’t grab such a large piece of Europe’s mid-size family car segment unless Peugeot also come up with not just one, but maybe two station wagon styles.

These renderings by Kleber Silva show the all-new 508 in both Estate as well as RXH form. In this format, the SW model would help the nameplate compete against the likes of the Opel/Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer, whereas the RXH would match up directly against the Insignia Country Tourer, biting off a piece of that outdoorsy family lifestyle pie.

Any new body style should still offer buyers access to the all-new 508’s modern features, such as its multiple driver assistance systems, which include the new night vision technology that can detect pedestrians at night and in poor visibility.

At launch, the engine range will hold two petrol units, rated at 180 PS and 225 PS, as well as three diesels putting down 130 PS, 160 PS and 180 PS respectively. Unfortunately, there’s no sign of an all-wheel drive system just yet.
