Hyundai’s Genesis brand has clearly gone for
prestige with luxury models like the new G90. But it’s taking things in an
altogether more glamorous direction with these five special sedans.
Created in conjunction with Vanity Fair magazine,
this small fleet of big sedans has been designed to ferry celebrities to the
Academy Awards. Each example of the top-of-the-line Genesis G90 is done up in
its own unique theme, with evocative names to match.
There’s “A Touch of Sensuality,” in two-tone light
silver and matte brown, with a brown and tan Nubuck and Nappa leather interior.
The “Stardust” edition is painted a deep flecked gray with a black velvet
cabin. “Emerald Dream” is done up in hunter green and dark brown with a
geometric-patterned green leather interior. “The Ruler” features a brick-red
and gray exterior and red Nubuck leather interior. And “Refined Understatement”
appears in dark blue and matte white with a cabin upholstered in black Nubuck
and Nappa leather accented by silver-dotted piping.
Each shows a different direction in which the
flagship Korean sedan (previously known as the Hyundai Equus) can be taken.
After ushering A-listers to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, the G90 Special
Editions will be showcased at the brand’s new flagship showroom in Seoul’s
swanky Gangnam district.
