India Kawasaki has introduced the Kawasaki Vulcan S in a new pearl lava orange colour. The new colour adds to the already-existing black colour variant. The introduction of a new colour is mainly due to the positive response received from the customers to the existing model. The Pearl Lava Orange colour variant costs INR 5,58,400, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The new colour variant is INR 10,000 more than the ex-showroom, Delhi price of the Black colour version. The motorcycle comes with orange front and rear fenders; black and orange fuel tank, and orange highlights on the side panels and radiator cover. The rim stickers are orange as well.

The Kawasaki Vulcan S employs a 649 cc parallel twin DOHC mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It pushes out 61 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 6,600 rpm. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed transmission. Kawasaki Ninja 650 uses the same engine as well, but is slightly more powerful.

Cycle parts include 41 mm telescopic front fork, and an offset monoshock with linkage and adjustable preload. For braking, a 300 mm front and 250 mm rear disc with dual channel ABS is standard. Its primary competitor in the segment is the Harley-Davidson Street 750, and the upcoming Royal Enfield 650 Twins. Kawasaki assembles the Vulcan S at the Chakan plant, near Pune.
