CarsDirect reports that Chevy is reducing prices on the 2019 Camaro, with some cuts amounting to as much as US$ 3,000. At US$ 25,995 (including destination), the base Camaro LS starts US$ 905 less for the 2019 model year than it did for 2018. Step up to the Camaro 1LT and you’ll be looking at US$ 26,495 (US$ 1,495 less than before). The 2LT starts at US$ 28,495, which is where the peak US$ 3,000 savings kicks in.

So why did Chevy cut that much off the MSRP? Largely because there’s a new 3LT slotting in above it for US$ 31,995. The model is comparable to the 2LT, but comes with the V6 as standard (instead of an option over the base turbo). The 3LT also offers an available Convenience & Lighting Package (for another US$ 2,800), which was previously offered on the 2LT (but no more).

Other changes for 2019 include the availability of the 1LE Track Performance Package (US$ 4,500) with the four-cylinder turbo, when it was previously only offered with the V6. The LS will also be made available with the eight-speed a utomatic for the first time, on top of the six-speed manual, for another US$ 1,495.

Higher up the list, the SS and ZL1 models continue unchanged, ranging from US$ 37,995 for the 1SS coupe to US$ 68,495 for the ZL1.
