With a little help
from G-Power, this Mercedes-AMG C63 S has overcome its initial limitations,
venturing perilously close to supercars in terms of performance. The tuner has
achieved this by adding their Performance Module to the stock ECU. The
aftermarket part “modifies the data recorded by the vehicle sensors with the
aid of a microprocessor, and then forwards the adapted information to the
standard ECU of the C63 S”, explains G-Power.
As a result, the
twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine now churns out 600 PS and 800 Nm of torque. The extra 90 PS and 100 Nm can also
be achieved with the tuner’s Performance Software V1, and is joined by an
increased top speed of 300 km/h. All things considered, this
Mercedes-AMG C63 S takes as little as 3.8 seconds to sprint from naught to
100 km/h.
Said to “guarantee
optimal compatibility with the engine”, G-Power’s upgrades are also available
with an optional stainless steel sports exhaust system. The latter enhances the
symphony coming from underneath the hood.
A more extreme
upgrade is also in store, raising the car’s power to an impressive 800 PS. The number is achieved with more software modifications and some fine-tuning
of the turbocharger and exhaust system.
There are no weird
body kits equipping this Mercedes-AMG C63 S, as the final product only features
a new set of wheels. Called Hurricane RR, the forged rims measure 20-inches in
diameter and have a black finish.
