The TVS Ntorq 125 has clocked 1 lakh units in
cumulative sales, and ahead of the festive season, it has gained a Metallic Red
colour option. TVS Motor launched the Ntorq 125 in India in February this year.
Billed as India's first connected scooter, it has achieved the 1 lakh sales
milestone within just six months. The company has set a target of selling over
2 lakh units in the first year of sales, and the milestone proves that it is on
course.
The TVS Ntorq 125 is the production version of the
TVS Graphite concept that debuted at Auto Expo 2014. It takes inspiration from
a stealth aircraft for its design. Well-placed sharp cuts, an aggressive
headlamp cluster, diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and sporty stub
muffler give it a youthful design.
The TVS Ntorq is the first model in its segment
equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster, which performs 55 different
features including navigation assist, top speed recorder, in-built lap-timer
and last parked location. Other highlights include pass by switch, dual side
steering lock, parking brakes, engine kill switch, USB charger and external
fuel filler cap.
The TVS Ntorq is 1,865 mm long, 710 mm wide and
1,160 mm tall. It has a 1,285 mm wheelbase and a 155 mm ground clearance. It
uses a new generation 124.79 cc CVTi-REVV engine that develops 9.4 PS at 7,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. This engine allows for a top
speed of 95 km/h. Stopping power comes from a 220 mm disc brake at the front
130 mm drum brake at the rear.
TVS’ Honda Grazia rival costs INR 59,687
(ex-showroom Delhi).
