Last year, Mini came out with a value-focused Oxford
Edition model aimed at college students and recent graduates in the US,
featuring US$ 6,900 worth of optional equipment at no extra cost. Now, the well-equipped 2019 Mini
Oxford Edition is also available to active duty members of the U.S. Military
(any branch), as well as its recent retirees or honorably discharged members,
as long as they apply for the car within a 12-month period after finishing
their service.
The Mini Oxford Edition has an MSRP of US$ 19,750 for
the 2-door version and US$ 20,750 for the 4-door model – the pricing excludes the US$ 850 destination and handling fee. What you do get are standard
features such as the Mini Connected Infotainment System with 6.5-inch display,
rear view camera, park distance control and Mini Teleservices and emergency
call.
This spec also includes upgraded 17-inch wheels in silver or black, a
choice of either a manual or an automatic transmission, dual-pane panoramic
moonroof, heated seats and a choice of six exterior body colors.
The Mini Oxford Edition will continue to be
available for eligible current full- or part-time students of any two- or
four-year accredited college or university, as well as recent college graduates
who are within 12 months of their graduation, and students enrolled in
post-bachelor’s degree programs.
