The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic and the Pulsar 150
Twin-Disc have received the safety net of ABS with rear lift-off protection.
The updated motorcycles have started to reach the dealerships. Bajaj Auto has
also updated its website with the prices of the ABS-equipped models, and the
Pulsar 150 Classic ABS has been listed at INR 84,461*. The Pulsar 150
Twin-Disc, on the other hand, is available for INR 88,339*.
The walkaround video captures the ABS ring on the
front wheel and the rear lift-off protection sensor at the back. Apart from the
addition of single-channel ABS, the Pulsar 150 Classic and Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc
variants also come with an engine cowl and updated graphics. The exhaust heat
shield on the Pulsar 150 Classic features a chrome treatment, while the unit on
the Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc dons a matte finish.
Both motorcycles continue to draw power from a 149
cc 2-valve, air-cooled, twin-spark DTS-i engine that churns out max power of 14
PS at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 13.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The braking
department, apart from the addition of ABS, remains unchanged. The stopping
power on the Pulsar 150 Classic comes from a 240 mm disc and a 130 mm drum at
the front and back respectively. The Pulsar 150 Twin-Disc benefits from a 260
mm disc brake at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear.
As reported last month, the Neon edition of the
Pulsar 150 has also received the safety net of single-channel ABS, and it
retails at INR 68,250* now. The on-road Mumbai price of the Pulsar 150 Neon, as
told by an authorised Bajaj dealership, is approximately INR 83,500.
Bajaj Auto plans to give the Pulsar and Avenger
range a complete makeover in 2020. The all-new Pulsar range may include a
quarter-litre variant. The 250 cc engine of the Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle will be
based on KTM 250 Duke's motor.
