David Brown Automotive showcased this specific Mini
Remastered at the Geneva Motor Show, featuring a two-tone “Stormbringer” and
“Snowblind” paint finish and decorated with graphics portraying a mountain
line. There’s also a very nice roof rack with integrated LED lamps, featuring
teak wood and mirror-polished stainless steel. The goal of the project was to
create a stylish vehicle for commuting to your favorite ski resort apparently
and it does so quite nicely.
The interior follows suit with a matching grey
leather upholstery mixed with plain and tweed fabrics. Orange accents and seat
belts give the cabin a nice kick while sheepskin rugs make it feel more warm
and cozy. Other details include leather bonnet straps, bumper-mounted LED
auxiliary lights together with LED headlights, black alloys with a silver ring
and plenty of chromework front and rear.
Each Mini Remastered requires 1,400 hours of work to
reach this outcome according to David Brown Automotive, with the only parts
shared between the donor vehicle and the finished car being the engine and
gearbox.
Still though, the powertrain is suitably overhauled,
with the 1,330cc four-cylinder engine now producing 94 hp at 6100 rpm and 117 Nm of torque sent to the front via a reconditioned four-speed
manual gearbox. Would you pay US$ 100k for one? Probably not, but you can’t deny it
looks pretty good.
