The Tata Tigor EV has been priced from INR 9.99
lakh* for fleet operators. Its availability is restricted to EESL and fleet
operators, and there's no definitive timeline for the commencement of private
sales. Earlier this year, it was added to the fleet of Capgemini.
The ex-showroom price of the Tata Tigor EV includes
the Indian government's incentive in under the FAME II scheme (discount of INR
1.62 lakh) along with TCS which is just 1% tax. Without the FAME II scheme,
Tigor EV's entry price might have touched INR 11.61-11.71 lakh.
The Tata Tigor EV is available in three exterior
colour options including white, blue and silver. There are two equipment lines
to select from, namely XM and XT. These are priced at INR 9.99 lakh* and 10.90
lakh*. At this price point, the Tigor EV costs almost INR 4 lakh more compared
to its Tigor petrol. At this price point, the Tigor EV costs almost INR 4 lakh
more compared to its petrol variant.
In terms of mechanicals, the Tigor EV has a motor
that generates 41 PS at 4,500 rpm and 105 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. It
gets its juice from a 16.2kWh battery pack. Tata Motors claims a full range of
142 km range on a single charge. Its battery pack can be charged up to 80% in 6
hours using a standard AC wall socket, while a DC 15 kW fast charger is good
enough to reduce this time to just 90 minutes.
In terms of comfort and convenience features, the
Tata Tigor EV is equipped with a climate control unit, driver’s seat
height-adjust, power windows and a Harman-sourced 2-DIN audio system with
Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity. On the outside, the EV comes with
body-coloured bumpers and door handles and LED tail-lamps. Its safety kit
includes dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and more.
