The spotlight has moved away from the Lamborghini
Huracan Performante after its Nurburgring record was broken by the larger and
more powerful Aventador SVJ. However, the Italian supercar has popped on the
radar of Wheelsandmore, which fitted it
with, well, new wheels – and more.
The tuner starts with the 5.2-liter, naturally
aspirated V10 giving it new software to generate an extra 20 PS and 22 Nm of torque. Additionally, another 6 PS have
been provided by the aftermarket exhaust system, with remote-controlled flaps,
that also improve the soundtrack, and the end result is 666 PS, hence the Diabolico moniker.
Available for the Spyder variant as well, the
components are joined by suspension upgrades. The tuner recommends installing
the lowering springs, made by KW, which bring the body 30 mm closer
to the ground and still leave room for the aftermarket wheels. The 9.0×20-inch
front and 12.5×21-inch rear center-locking rims, which can be personalized to
customers’ specifications, fill the wheel arches nicely and are shod in
245/30/20 and 325/25/21 tires, from either Michelin or Pirelli.
The chip tuning for the Performante costs a
reasonable € 2,520, and the exhaust, complete with the remote control
unit, has a € 4,831 price tag, while the lowering springs add another
€ 982.
