UK buyers will soon
be able to land a Citroen SpaceTourer MPV equipped with a 2.0-liter BlueHDI
diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This new variant can be ordered
now, with first deliveries expected in October.
The power unit
produces 120 PS and costs £ 1,700 (US$ 2,120) more than what you would
spend on an equivalent trim but with the 1.5-liter BlueHDI 120 S&S engine
and a 6-speed manual, which doesn’t feature the same 2.3 tonne towing rating as
the 2.0-liter version.
Customers can then
choose between two main trim levels in ‘Feel’ and ‘Flair’, both of which come
with 8 seats as standard. They also feature rail-mounted rear seats, a child
observation mirror and six sets of Isofix mounting points with top tethers.
Size-wise, the two trims are available in Medium and XL, with the latter
offering an additional 35 cm of length.
Between the two
previously-mentioned trim levels, ‘Flair’ models are the ones that boasts more
features as standard, such as black leather seat trim, driver and front
passenger seats with individual armrest (plus electric adjustment, heating and
massage function), panoramic glass sunroof, twin ‘hands free’ electric sliding
rear doors, a head-up display, blind spot monitoring, 180° colour reversing
camera, keyless entry and start, plus Citroen Connect Nav.
Now, if you just
want to have the best equipped version of the SpaceTourer, you need to opt for
the ‘Business Lounge’ model, which has a starting price of £ 44,465 (US$ 55,442) in
the UK. It comes with four armchairs in the rear cabin, a rail-mounted table
and more overall flexibility inside. Prices start from £ 34,920 (US$ 43,541) for
the entry-level ‘Feel’ model with the 1.5 BlueHDI 120 unit, or £ 36,620
(US$ 46,660) if you want the new engine and gearbox combo (2.0 BlueHDI 120 EAT8
S&S).
