A precise replica of the superhero’s vehicle of
choice from Batman vs. Superman is currently looking for a new owner in Moscow,
Russia. The massive two-seater measures full six meters long and
four meters wide. It comes powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine sending
502 hp to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The seller claims the car rolled off the lines in 2018
and has since traveled 120 kilometers. Reportedly, only four such
vehicles exist in the world, with another one in the United States and the
remaining two in the Arab Emirates.
This particular example has also been brought to
Russia from the USA for show purposes. Predictably enough, the similarities
with the movie version of the Batmobile end with the exterior appearance, which
has allegedly received some additional polish in Russia. This included
power-assisted doors, an infrared camera with a 255x zoom, bulletproof glass,
racecar-style detachable steering wheel, a night vision camera, a laser
pointer, and a fake cannon mounted on the front bumper, which can imitate
shooting.
Due to its extreme dimensions, the car is not
road-legal and requires a tow truck to haul it around. The asking price is 55,000,000
RUB, which roughly converts into US$ 844,000. If that seems a bit extreme to
you, consider that another Batmobile popped up on the Russian market not long
ago with a € 1,000,000 price tag attached.
