Russian carmaker Aurus may still need
to piece together its first production car, but it has far-reaching plans for
the future. According to an anonymous source within FSUE NAMI (manufacturer),
the marque is already working on an ‘affordable’ stretch limo.
Right now, the carmaker has two models
on the lineup: the S600 Senat, which is positioned as an executive (luxury)
saloon, and the L700, the President’s stretch limo. The alleged new limo should
take up the niche in between these two, sporting a shorter wheelbase and lower
specs.
Drom.ru claims it received a spy photo
of this new Aurus-branded car shot during its tests on public roads in Moscow. The
source adds that the new model will have the same chassis and engines as the
Senat and come in two main variants: standard and armored.
