Ever since Rolls-Royce entered the SUV segment two years ago with the Cullinan, tuning companies have launched all kinds of aftermarket parts for it. Some of them are quite discreet, whereas others are definitely OTT. Wald International’s ‘Black Bison’ leans towards the second category and is officially up for grabs in the US.
The lower grille has been given a makeover
to match the upper part, and the front bumper sports a new apron with chrome trim.
More shiny inserts can be seen on the side skirts and at the back, alongside a
more aggressive two-part diffuser, LED brake light, and tailgate-mounted
spoiler.
The 10.5×24-inch forged wheels, made
specifically for the Cullinan by Wald, are also part of the revisions,
alongside the lowering hardware kit that makes it look more like a very
expensive super wagon than an SUV. You won’t find any upgrades under the hood
from the Japanese tuner, where the twin turbocharged V12 remains totally stock.
With 6.75 liters in displacement, this engine pumps out 563 HP and 850 Nm, with the peak torque being available from 1,600
rpm.
Despite the luxury amenities, complemented
by the magic carpet-like ride and cocooned cockpit, not to mention the 2,660-kg curb weight, the Cullinan is quite fast. It will sprint
to 96 km/h from a standstill in 5+ seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
