Speciality Vehicle Engineering (SVE) has taken the wraps off its latest creation, dubbed the 2021 Yenko/SC Chevrolet Silverado California Edition. SVE has started off by fitting the truck’s 6.2-liter V8 engine with a massive 3.0-liter twin-screw supercharger that works alongside an air-to-water intercooler. Working alongside the supercharger is an aluminum high-flow intake manifold, billet idler plate, and an adjustable idler system. These parts combine to give the pickup truck no less than 710 hp, on par with the Ram 1500 TRX.
Complementing the engine alterations is a
Sport Suspension upgrade that drops the ride by two inches at the front and
five inches at the rear. The truck also features a larger-diameter sway bar in
the back and new bushings. Additional braking power is provided by six-piston
calipers upfront.
Those looking to pick up the keys to one of
the trucks can have it fitted with a unique set of alloy wheels wrapped in
Nitto tires. Distinctive badging and side decals help to ensure the truck
stands out. Shoppers can also choose between a host of different colors for the
supercharger itself.
SVE intends on building 50 examples of its
potent Silverado California Edition and doesn’t discriminate with what
Silverado variants it works on. In fact, the California Edition will be offered
in Crew Cab and Double Cab variants and be available for the Custom Trail Boss,
LT Trail Boss, RST, LTZ, and High Country trim levels.
Pricing details haven’t been announced but
the truck will be available directly from GM dealerships.
