Great Wall Motor Company just can’t get enough of naming its cars after animals. This compact ride dubbed Big Cat is yet another Shanghai show example.

Despite the moniker, the car is nearly identical to the modest-sized Wey Macchiato CUV, which also belongs in the Great Wall vehicle lineup. However, whereas the Macchiato is a hybrid vehicle, the Big Cat is a full EV.

Both models use the same Lemon platform, but the Big Cat comes driven by two electric motors mounted one per axle. No further technical details have been revealed so far.

On the outside, the newcomer boasts a different front bumper, a fake front grille, and a charger port built into a fender. Interior highlights boil down to a 14-inch touchscreen and a heads-up display.
