Great Wall introduced the Cybertank 300 Concept in April this year (watch the video if you missed it), and now, the production car has debuted with hardly any deviations from the original design. Looking at the big picture, the only exterior modification is a simpler front bumper lacking Y-shaped elements. The yellow accents are still present, as is the hood cover with a nostril-like air intake, and LEDs in the grille. The spare wheel cover sports an embossed ‘Y’, the rear arches boast purely aesthetic air vents, the wheels themselves measure 21 inches across, and there is a large spoiler in the back.
Compared to the Tank 300, the Cybertank rides 20 mm taller thanks to new springs and off-road shocks. The 2.0-liter turbo under the hood is stock and still delivers 227 PS along with 387 Nmof torque to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The first cars have already arrived in showrooms around China. The production run is limited to 3,000 units priced from 308,000 CNY. This is a hefty premium over the standard Tank, which maxes out around 230,000 CNY.
