Hyundai is launching the Staria in Germany, where it will initially be available in flagship Signature guise starting from € 56,150 (US$ 65,789) with front-wheel drive and € 58,150 (US$ 68,124) with all-wheel drive. As the name suggests, the Signature is the most luxurious variant of the minivan. It comes with standard features such as electric sliding doors on both sides, heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats, a smart key system with a stop/start button, ambient lightning with 64 selectable colors, and rear sun blinds.
The Staria Signature also includes individual seats in the second row that offer backrest and leg rest adjustability. There is even a one-touch setting that puts the seats into a relaxed lying position while all seating rows also include USB ports. Another interesting piece of technology offered is ‘Passenger View’ which consists of a wide-angle camera in the cabin that allows the driver and front passenger to keep an eye on rear passengers through the infotainment screen. Speaking of this screen, it stretches 10.25-inches and incorporates a 360-degree around-view monitor.
Hyundai has also equipped German-spec Staria Signature models with a 12-speaker Bose audio system. The van also includes a host of intelligent assistance systems from Hyundai, including an autonomous emergency brake assistant, active blind spot assistant, and a rear-seat passenger alert system. For € 1,200 (US$ 1,405), customers can option a panoramic glass roof and there is a choice of four interior colors.
This flagship variant of the Staria is available to order from German dealerships as of mid-August. Next year, other variants of the van will hit the market with prices to start from under € 40,000 (US$ 46,861).
